Laser Engraving Wood
The process of engraving wood with a laser is contact free and results in a debossed effect. The laser removes the surface material to produce a noticeable, clean contrast that creates an amazing tactile effect.
Wood that is light in colour will produce a high colour contrast when engraved compared to a darker wood engraving which will be more subtle.
If you wish a high colour contrast, go with a oak, birch, birch plywood, cherry, bamboo, etc. Walnut will still give a beautiful engraving but the contrast will not be as strong.
Engraved wooden products are a great way to customise or a give a special finish to your chosen product whether that be with a name, a brand name, a logo or other design to achieve a high quality finish.

Laser cutting wood is the perfect way to create your chosen wooden product.
There are a variety of benefits to using a laser to cut wood. The laser seals the cut edges so there is no splintering resulting in a perfectly smooth finished edge. Also cutting wood with a laser is incredibly fast, precise, allows complex cuts and is consistent making it perfect for large runs, repeat orders or one offs.

All wood is suitable for engraving. What is best really depends on the look you wish to achieve. Get in touch and we can discuss your requirement.
The time required varies greatly. The type of wood, the complexity and size of the design will all have an impact on the engraving time. We use the fastest CO2 laser available so whatever the requirement, we shall complete the project, FAST.
